Hammerfast Roughs

So here's me trying to figure out how best to map Hammerfast. I have this vision of a great big ol' dwarven front porch I can't shake, so I'm going with it.

I'm focusing on two descriptions from the DM's guide; "A dwarven hold cut from the rock of a deep vale in the Dawnforge Mountains" and "The Trade Road runs through the citadel gates and continues eastward." If you know of any supplementary Hammerfast material out there, clue me in, won't you?

Nothing more about Hammerfast than what's in the DMG, but there's going to be a whole book about it. It was just announced at GenCon. Check out this page, halfway down... not much info, but they're doing "adventure site" books: http://www.critical-hits.com/2009/08/17/gencon-2009-4e-extravaganza-with-photos/

I love your roughs and your not-roughs. I read in an earlier comment on another doodle that you work with photoshop. I never would have guessed. Do you create your own brush sets? You got to let me know where to get them!

Hey Jesse, I do work in Photoshop for some of these doodles (like the finished maps) but mostly these are on paper (or post-its).
My brush sets and tool sets come from all over. I'm no expert, but drop me an email and we can discuss in more detail.

Hey Iyar,

Thanks for the kind words; y'know I think I did post over at the Cartographer's Guild... didn't I? If so, you'd find my map under "Town and City Maps" I believe.
